Meet Dr. Clemente
Dr. Karen Clemente
Dr. Clemente was born in Marseille, France in 1975. Her father is a chemical engineer, and her mother is a dentist, both with doctoral studies completed in France. Later, they moved to Venezuela where she grew up along her two younger sisters.
Dr. Clemente graduated from Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1998, where she obtained her D.D.S., degree. In 1997, she graduated as a Classical Pianist and Piano Teacher at the Music Conservatory “Prudencio Esaa” in Caracas, a program she participated in since she was 7 years old.
Dr. Clemente worked side by side with her mother in private practice in Caracas for 2 years after she graduated. In 2000, she moved to Houston, Texas where she completed the graduate program at The University of Texas Health & Science Center, Dental Branch, obtaining her certificate in Prosthodontics & Master of Science in Dentistry in 2003.
After graduating she completed a fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Dental Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she obtained her certificate in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics.
Dr. Clemente moved back to Venezuela with her family in 2007 and worked alongside her sister, an orthodontist for the next 9 years. During this period, Dr. Clemente continued to travel to Houston to work with her colleagues in their private practices.
In 2016, Dr. Clemente moved back to Houston with her family. She has continued to work in private practice and participates in continuing education courses. In 2019, she completed the Implant Fellowship, and is a part of the committee of the Advanced Prosthodontics Alumni Association.
Dr. Clemente married in 2000 and dedicates her life to her husband, their 3 wonderful children, and her extended family, her patients.
